There was this TV show about different ads from around the world, and
one from Britain knocked me out.

The show was called "World's Greatest Commercials", hosted by
Andrew Daddo, on one of the Australian channels (I think channel 7).

It had a brunette dressed in black, with a strong British accent,
talking to the camera about how adultery is defined as a husband
imagining having an affair with another woman.

Then she starts talking dirty, and asks any wives watching whether
their husbands had just committed adultery.

Unforuneately, I have no memory of what the product for - I can't even
figure it out.

What’s the ad, and where can I find it?

jeremymiles,

The show was on either last year or in 2001, so the ad must have been
fairly recent.

People in the UK would seem to have the best chance of getting the
answer to this question.

There are websites that archive ads from around the world. Surely one
of them would have it?

Hi markabe,

After researching this question for so long and writing to many
sources, I have finally received some positive responses. I've been
corresponding back and forth with these contacts until I got the
information you requested. I will give you my step-to-step research
process I did on your question after I let you know the name of this
mysterious commercial.

The commercial you have been wondering about is called “Unfaithful”.
It is an advertisement for 'Sissy Boy' Jenaswear/Womenswear.

Following is the approach I took in researching your question.

When entering “World's Greatest Commercials” in Google, I located the
Australian television station this commercial is featured on.
Their website is:
Prime Time
http://www.primetime.com.au/intro_01.htm
The program can be found here:
http://www.primetime.com.au/hm_ads.htm
I contacted their email address at primetime@primetime.com.au, but the
message returned after a couple of attempts. I then tried another
source at the station:
Ethan Podell: ejpodell@mindspring.com who directed me back to the
address I first tried.

Going to the websites home page, I decided to try another contact
there.
Rhonda Byrne: rhondab@primetime.com.au

Fortunately I got a positive response back:
“This commercial was made in South Africa. I'm afraid we cannot
supply you with a copy of the commercial, as our agreement with the
agency and the talent is that it is strictly for our program “The
World's Greatest Commercials”.
I will have our production assistant go through our records for the
details of the agency and have her forward them on to you.
Best of luck,
Rhonda Byrne”

Today I received this message from the production assistant who kindly
offered her help.
“I'm the production assistant for “The World's Greatest Commercials”
and I have managed to track down the commercial you were looking for.
The commercial is for Sissy Boy Womenswear and is titled “Unfaithful”.
The agency that made the commercial was The Jupiter Drawing Room in
Cape Town, South Africa.
Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance in terms of
contact numbers or e-mail addresses'. Hope this information helps.
Kindest regards,
Hayley Byrne
Production Assistant, “The World's Greatest Commercials”

Fax: +613 9827 9655

Australia”

My message back to her:
“Thank you so much for the name of this commercial. Can you give me an
email address and/or websites regarding this commercial? I would
appreciate any information you can offer. Looking forward to hearing
from you. Thank you again.”

This is her reply:
“Here is an e-mail address as well as fax and phone numbers:

jwilson2@jupiter.co.za
P+27 21 680 3200
F+27 21 686 9432

The girls name is Juliet Wilson. I'm not sure how current this e-mail
address is but let me know if you have any problems.
Kindest regards,
Hayley Byrne”

Not knowing whether this was public information or not, I wrote back
with that question:
“It wouldn't be a problem giving her contact information out, would
it?
I just want to make sure this is public information. I don't want to
cause any unnecessary problems. Thanks again.”

The reply I've just received:
“I don't think it would be a problem. They are an advertising agency
and they are used to receiving requests all the time so I'm sure it'll
be fine. Good luck! Let me know if I can
help anymore.
Hayley”

I then searched for this agency and found their website:
The Jupiter Drawing Room
http://www.jupiter.co.za/indexmain.html

According to the Australian 'Prime Time' television station, the
commercial cannot be copied, as their agreement states with the
advertising agency. But by contacting The Jupiter Drawing Room
directly and requesting a copy of the commercial, they may be willing
to fulfill your request.

If you need my help in anything more regarding this request please
don't hesitate to ask and I will do whatever I possibly can. I wish
you the best of luck.

Best regards,
rainbow-ga

Woah, you have been busy. I guess the only thing left is for me to
contact Juliet Wilson.

I'll leave the question open for now, in case I need any help. This
may just be the most impressive answer I've gotten yet.

I live in the UK, and have no memory of this ad. DO you know
(approximately) how old it was?
