Thanks for an entertaining question.

The answer would be "queue". Taking away the "ueue", the Q remains.

"Aitch" is an English five-letter word that is pronounced the same
when its *first* four letters have been removed.

I may be mistaken but if only one letter is removed from the end of
queue, its pronunciation does not change.  If one letter is removed
from queu, its pronunciation remains unchanged.  If one letter is
removed...
