I am starting a Distribution company which will star importing a brand
name jam called DARBO from austria, and I would like to know who
already distributes that product in USA, and how can I research more
about this product in USA; prices, clients,etc

Do your homework on this.
Check:
1 - Are there Trademark issues here?  Does
your client in Austria or someone else own it?
2 - Are there conflicts of territories?  For all 
you know you might be constrained to certain
markets.  Do not assume that they won't 
give you overlapping rights?  What will you do,
sue them in Austria?  Also, could be accidents also.
3 - Make sure you have all the loose ends tied 
with Customs.  Go visit them and ask, get their
books and brochures.  I was with them for a couple
of hours today, they are very helpful and will permit
you to understand what needs to get done.
