Hello Easterangel-ga and many thanks for your answer. But please note
that I had requested for information about those "worldwide news media
organizations" operating across the globe and are also top news
media organizations of the world but you have provided to me
information about the news media organizations of only of United
States of America. So please provide to me 'clarification' of my
statement. Thanks for it.

Hi shoaib-ga and thanks for asking a clarification before making a
rating.

The websites for the BBC and The Economists are UK based so what I
provided here are not only American sites but from the UK as well. But
I do understand your concern about some news media sources not getting
in there.

Since the Internet immediately connotes a global perspective, the list
is interpreted as having that quality as well. And it just makes sense
that the major news sources have the most hits as well coming from web
surfers in different parts of the world converging on these sites
looking for the latest news outside of their local newspapers or
websites. The other news sources might be there as well but they may
not be in the top 10 or 20 so the website publishing them does not
include them anymore.

A case in point are the answers here as well. Eventhough we come from
different parts of the world, our answers most of the time compromise
of sources outside of our own world.

Furthermore, BBC and CNN are not look upon as only US or British but
as international news sources. So this list as per your original
question of "most popular in the world" would naturally be correct.

I hope that this clarification provided a supplement to my answer made
above.

Best Regards,
Easterangel-ga
