Hi, pauliewalnuts!

You can download the Marantz DR4050 Owner's Manual and Production
Information sheet here:
http://www.marantz.com/p_prod_dls.cfm?prod_id=537&cont=AM&line=cdr

I found this by going to the Marantz company website at:
http://www.marantz.com/hifi/america/main.html

Put your mouse over "Products" in the small menu on the left-hand
side, mouse over "Past Products information", click on "CD Recorders",
click on "DR4050", and on the DR4050 page, click on "Downloads".

pauliewalnuts,

The owner's manual and product information sheet are in Adobe Acrobat
.pdf format. Do you already have Acrobat or Acrobat Reader installed
on your computer? If not, you will need to download the free version
of Acrobat Reader here:
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

Scroll down the page a little bit; Under "Step 1", select the language
you want and the Operating System on your computer (for instance,
Windows 2000/XP or Mac OS X). If you have sufficient memory on your
computer, I recommend that you check the box under "Step 2", so that
you have the ability to do "Find" for text in Acrobat .pdf documents.
Then click the red box that says "Download".

Once you have downloaded and installed the Acrobat Reader, you will
need to start the program, then click on the "download" link for the
Owner's Manual on the page link that I provided you:
http://www.marantz.com/p_prod_dls.cfm?prod_id=537&cont=AM&line=cdr

If you are still unable to access the owner's manual after following
these steps, please do **not** Rate the Answer yet; come back here,
and list the steps that you have taken, what the results are, and I
will help you walk through the process until you get what you need.

I hope that this Clarification enables you to get exactly the
information for which you are looking!

Ace-I have downloaded Acrobat 5 and memory is not a problem - I have
downloaded the product specs page and printed it off- and did get a
couple of pages of the manual to appear- some of them partially blank
but have not been able to get the manual in its entirety- 68 pages I
believe. Thanks for your help, Paulie

Paulie,

On my computer, the document shows at 64 pages (but that may be due to
screen display size variations). Because it is so large, the document
does take some time to load, especially if you are on a dial-up modem.

Try right-clicking on the word "Download" next to "Owner's Manual",
then selecting "Save Target As", and saving the file in your "My
Documents" folder.

Both that method and clicking "Download" (with Acrobat Reader already
running) work for me.
