I WANT THE NAME OF ANY GUNSMITH NAMED ZOLLINGER FROM 1700S TO 1800S
AND WHAT STATE HE OR THEY MAY BE FROM

Please elaborate on how you came to know the information you provided
to us if you can, and in what context the information you learned was
used. For example, a ZOLLINGER barrel or ZOLLINGER gun, might refer to
a particular type of weapon or a particular regional manufacturer as
opposed to a person. As another example, nicknames are also prevalent,
as are certain styles (chokes, vented, etc), functions (rifled, etc),
techniques or finishes (like blueings, nickeling, etc).

I HAVE A GUN BARREL THAT IS OF THE FLINTLOCK TYPE. THIS BARREL IS 39
1/2 INCHES LONG AND HAS A BORE OF ABOUT 9MM AND IS OCTAGANAL IN SHAPE
ON THIS BARREL IS IMPRINTED ZOLLINGER.  RICH

So far I have been unable to turn up anything on your gun barrel. It's
possible that this particular firearm was made specifically for, or
perhaps owned by "ZOLLINGER" rather than "as" a ZOLLINGER.
