We are compiling a guide book for women on their own. and there are
frequently asked questions to which the answers are often difficult to
find and obscure. I am going to start with the most frquently asked
question. I suspect that all questions will be answered by different
people but I wanted you to know of purpose. Questions will appear over
a period of time
The first then is what women can do if due to circumstances they are
unable to keep up payments on credit cards.
I would like if possible information regarding each major English
credit card company. Eho do they go to for advice. How long they will
be given . Can they ask to pay small amounts. Will it go on credit
reference files? When How long have they got? I sus pect all companies
have different policies but they are not telling. I only have two
credit cards and I cannot get the information which often the
companies are reluctant to give unless you are a customer. Any thing
that you can think of regarding this matter that may be of use but
must be factual. What are peoples rights etc?
This is a difficult question to verbalise.
Also I want the same information on morgages. If people are unable to
pay the mortgage . Information please that one would not easily be
able to access

Hello deseven,

From one of your other questions, I assume that you are in the UK. In
terms of more-general information about dealing with debt, you might
wish to consider referring your readers to the local Citizens Advice
Bureau, where they can get advice and information. The CAB has also
got a web site, and there is a section there with general information
about debt: http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/index/your_world/consumer_affairs/seeking_help_with_debt.htm

Thanks for comment on CAB but i want a great deal more infromation
than that and as I said unusual things that people find it difficult
to find for them selves. one hundred dollars worth of information
please. Please refer back to my question. Yes I am in the UK sorry I
forgot to say that. I know thw CAB gives some sort of a service but i
think it is generally rather narrow. I know there is a lot more help
out there

deseven,

The way this service works is that you only pay when you get an answer
in the Answer field. I placed what I said in the comments field,
because I was quite aware it did not answer your question, but it was
nevertheless of some relevance. If and when a researcher decides he or
she wishes to provide an Answer to this question, you can be assured
that they will do at least $100 worth of research to supply this.
Please note, Google Researchers are free to choose which questions
they will Answer. There are questions which, for a variety of reasons,
do not receive Answers (for example, the question goes against the
terms of service, the question is inappropriately priced, no
researcher feels confident or comfortable about providing an answer,
the answer is not readily available or is only available for a large
fee, there is no one definite answer to the question). If your
question does happen to expire after a month without receiving an
Answer, you will only have to pay the $0.50 listing fee. At that
point, you can decide whether or or not to repost it for another
month.

Thank you for your explanation. Yes I do understand. and thanks for
writing. In all the other questions that i have asked I have received
a very prompt reply. I think I have priced this correctly but feel
possibly all my last questions for the guide book are too unorthodox.
Thanks

It has been suggested that i add a bit more information to this
question and increase the price, I am not sure how to do that but will
increase it by a further $30 and find out how to do that officially.

It seems that more and more people are falling behind in payments on
credit cards and mortgages. I am sure there are many men out there who
are in this position and although the guide book (which will cover
very many issues) is for women these things could equally apply to
men. I have heard there are financial advisers who specialise in this
and i have heard that many credit card companies etc are reluctant to
tell you of ways to deal with this. Are there laws, rules rights etc?
A lot of people are floundering because they do not know where to
turn. Has anyone one out there had experience they would be willing to
share? Is there a usual precedure . ? What I am looking for here
though is things people are not generally told
