I am looking for a published prayer /poem. I saw it titled "A Prayer
for all seasons especially Thanksgiving" Here is a little of it... "I
was
made weak that I might know the need of God.I got nothing that I ask
for but everything that I had hoped for." I am looking for the whole
copy of this prayer.

The poem you are referring to was written by a Confederate soldier in
the U.S. Civil War. It doesn't have a title, per se, but is sometimes
referred to as "I Asked God."
