Dear bjb,

Any stereo extension cable with 3.5mm mini plug (male/female) will
serve the purpose of connecting you cassette adapter with your CD or
MiniDisc player. Since you are obviously familiar with ordering from
Amazon.com, this would also be the most convenient source of supply
for you. Please have a look at these products featured at Amazon.com:

Mini stereo extension with 3.5mm plugs, 6 feet long, $6.95

Mini stereo extension with 3.5mm plugs, 6 feet long, $2.95
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00004ZAGJ/qid=1046633683/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1_etk-electronics/103-4416141-5095819?v=glance&s=electronics&n=172282

Hope this helps!

The second only has a picture of the ends - does it come with a cord?
What is the differece between the two (besides the price)?

Thanks.

Dear bjb,

Since the second is explicitly labelled "Extension", it should come
with a cord - otherwise, it would not be an extension at all.
I searched for specifications pointing out possible technical
differences between the two extension cables, but I found no
additional information. My guess is that the more expensive one has
plugs with contacts metalized with a thin gold layer, which is often
done with stereo connection cables to enhance the quality of
transmission. Personally, I would buy the more expensive one since I
expect it to be the more sophisticated product.
