This question is aimed at askscott as he already spent considerable time and effort on my behalf. Google is still responding to my old title headers and are still ignoring the new ones. Has Googles robot been round recently or am I just being impatient? |

Hello pig-ga, The monthly crawl (or approximately monthly crawl) has not started yet. The Google Update History page on WebmasterWorld ( http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum3/2657.htm ) does not list a new update. But even better evidence that the update has not begun are these threads: "Alright enough lets update" (February 25, 2003 to present) WebmasterWorld http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum3/9608.htm "Google Update Neer" (March 2, 2003 to present) WebmasterWorld http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum3/9814.htm You'll see there that webmasters are still waiting for the deep crawl. You might want to check the end of these discussion threads once a day, to see if anything has changed. I should note that, even when the update has begun, you may have to wait several days until the update is complete. During that time, you may notice what is known as the Google Dance -- a shuffling of old and new web pages and of the ranks of the pages: "Google Dance - The Index Update of the Google Search Engine" eFactory http://dance.efactory.de/ Thanks for asking for me -- it's a nice feeling to know that you liked my previous work. I hope that this answer has measured up to your standards. - justaskscott-ga Search strategy: Browsed WebmasterWorld Searched on Google for: "google dance" | |
