Hi hislordship,

The ability for your computer to be able to type the Euro symbol
depends on whether your operating system is euro-compliant or not. If
you're using any version of Windows later than Windows 98, then your
system is compliant. Here's what you should do to be able to type the
Euro sign:
Hold down the ALT key, then type in 0128, then release the ALT key.

If your computer does not support the Euro, please visit the Microsoft
website at [http://www.microsoft.com/windows/euro.mspx#Win95] to
download an update to enable support for your computer.

In the future, if you'd like to type in the sign of any foreign
currency, you can do so by running Character Map, a program that comes
with most versions of Windows. Access it by opening the Start
menu->Accessories->System Tools->System Map.

I hope that this answered your question. If you still have trouble
typing the Euro sign or need clarification, please request for it
before rating this answer.

It is called the Euro, not Euro Dollar (a completely separate concept
in the field of economics). It might help a researcher if you provide
the operating system and program you are trying to do this in.

If you're a Mac user, press 'Option' (alt) and digit '2'
simultaneously, and you should get '€'
