If the enlargement of the screen due to software, how do I set it
right? My computor uses Microsoft software 1998.

Hi fat55,
What do you mean by "enlargement of the screen"?  Are the icons and
text too big?  Are the pictures outside of the monitor range?  Please
let us know.

Please be aware that I will work to elaborate or clarify my answer to
satisfy you at your request.

-Click the Start button, then Settings, then Control Panel 

-Double-click on the Display icon to open the Display Properties
window

-Click on the Settings tab near the top right 

-Click and drag to move the slider (in Screen area box) to the desired
screen resolution. Then, click the Apply button at bottom right.

-Windows will ask you to confirm that you want to change the screen
resolution. Click OK. If a problem occurs or the screen looks strange,
wait 15 seconds and the original settings will be restored.

If you want to keep the new settings, click OK when asked. Then click
OK to close the Display Properties window.
