How can one purchase a "basket of commodities" without directly
participating in the futures market? What we are looking for is a
list of mutual funds and exchange traded funds (ETFs) that represent a
diversified exposure to commodities, (energy, foods, grains,
livestock), without too much exposure to precious metals which are
well represented by equities, funds, and ETFs.
As an example, we are already familiar with the Oppenheimer Real Asset
Fund, which aims to match the Goldman Sachs Commodity Index (GSCI),
but don't like its exposure to corporate and mortgage bonds. We would
like a list of other funds and or ETFs that aim to match the GSCI. |
