I have found their official website but they keep their members a
secret so no contact information there as well. They said they have a
dictator as leader but still no contact info. Will the website be
enough as an answer? Just let me know. :)

Hello cferrand,

I have found the name of one of the co-founders of this krewe, who
also serves as its Treasurer. He would be a good initial contact:

"L. Paul Hood, JR... is a Fellow in the American College of Trust and
Estate Counsel... Paul is very active in civic, social and political
matters... He serves on numerous boards and committees, including...
le Krewe d'Etat (a New Orleans Mardi Gras parade organization which he
co-founded and he serves as its Treasurer)"
Biographies page at Leimberg Information Services
http://www.leimbergservices.com/bios_lis.cfm

The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel web site gives the
following
public contact information for L. Paul Hood JR:
L. Paul Hood, Jr. (APLC)
Suite 12
1101 N. Causeway Blvd.
Mandeville, 70471-3256
Email: lphood@actec.org
Louisiana
Saint Tammany Parish
Hood, L. Paul, Jr. (985) 727-3730
http://www.actec.org/public/roster/ShowOneAttorney.asp?FellowNo=4031

Search strategy: 1. "Krewe d'Etat" (the information was found on the
very last page of search results, nos. 111-120) 2. "L. Paul Hood, JR"

Hello cferrand,

I found the info as stated in the search strategy, by doing a Google
search on "Krewe d'Etat". However, as I also mentioned, the
information was on the very last page of the search results.
Sometimes, this is the only strategy that works: a very simple search
on one or two terms, and then sheer dogged persistence in ploughing
through the results. This is an in-joke of information professionals,
at least here in the UK, that some of our "expertise" is better
defined as stubborness; we just keep looking and sifting...

What I often do, if I get masses of hits, is to look at random at page
10, or 25 or whatever from the hits. Sometimes that can turn up gold!
In this case, scanning through all the results for 120 was not too
bad. I didn't have to go into each site, but just looked at the
synopsis provided by Google. I thought I was going to be unlucky, and
then there on the last page were the magic words, "co-founded"
"Treasurer" After that, it was easy enough to do a search on the name
of the person in order to get the contact details. Fortunately, these
were professional rather than private details, so I was able to post
them here.
