I would like several examples of an initial review for an
environmental management system, ideally for manufacturering companies
but others are ok as well. It does not matter if the initial review
recommends adopting a EMS or not.

Hello sherry686-ga,

My research shows that there is ample information online about all
aspects of Environmental Management Systems. There are sites dedicated
to providing you with information and resources, literature, outlines,
templates, toolkits and more. Most of the formal reports available are
from government agencies or public organizations, but there are some
corporate documents available as well. In addition to the Initial
Environmental Reports that you asked for, I’ve also included some of
the other resources to give you a more complete picture. I wish you
well with your project.

The Environmental Management System (EMS) process calls for an initial
assessment or gap analysis, once an environmental policy statement is
established. Gap analysis reveals the difference between the
environmental policy and actual performance. The data for the gap
analysis comes from the initial environmental review. Further
assessments and audits are then conducted throughout the EMS process
to ensure constant evaluation and feedback for continuous improvement.
