<The Netherlands attracts approximately 10 million tourists each year.
The vast majority come from Germany, Belgium, the U.S. and the U.K.
The Netherlands official statistics site just gives figures for
Germany which accounts for the largest visitor numbers from all
foreign countries. One third of all foreign tourists are German. One
source quotes that there are as many asian visitors as there Germans.

The figures are as follows:
Germany 3.3 million
US 900,000
UK 872,000
Belgium 3 million (day trip) (657,000 short break)
Asia 3.3 million
The balance is made up mainly from visitors from the rest of Europe.>

Here's some simple figures for Amsterdam:

Amsterdam as a tourist center is frequented by all kinds of
nationalities. The majority are from Great Britain (692 thousand
bed-nights yearly), the U.S.A. (493 thousand), Germany (416 thousand),
Italy (301 thousand), and France (260 thousand).

Hello, gemini65,

I doubt you are going to get a complete answer to your question:
visitors who go to the Netherlands from other Schengen countries may
not be required to go through passport control, and there may be no
count of them. This will especially apply to visitors who travel by
land, by car or train for instance, from or through Germany or France
or Belgium and so on.

Counts of such visitors can only be estimates...

Good luck, the estimates are probably out there, somewhere!
