I am expecting to file for chapter 7, personal bankruptcy very soon and have a number of credit cards that will be petitioned in the bk. Some of these cards have a company or corporate name on them. All of our cards, including the so-called corp. or business cards were granted, to the best of my knowledge, based on MY social security number, etc. This being the case, will they be discharged without question, along with my personal credir cards??? Thanks for your response. Otto2Go. |

I don't know about Bankruptcy in the US but, in the UK, bankruptcy wipes out all your personal debts. However, you have to declare all your assets. I can see no reason for your concern. Am I missing something? |

The real question is-can a so-called corporate credit card be discharged in a PERSONAL cpt. 7 BK? or is a Corporate BK7 required for all so-called corp. considerations. The key, to me, seems to be if the "corp" card was supplied to me, bases on my own social security information, them it would be a matter covered for BK purposes, by a Personal BK... comments... |
