I'm doing work for a large international client that needs to find a
way to seperate its active from inactive clients.  Inactive clients
would be out of business.

Does anyone out there know of a process, database,(bouncing things off
taxes filed, etc.) or company that can help us with this process?

Here's the kicker....we need someone that can do this for many
customers on a global basis for customers located in the following
countries (U.S., Canada,
Austria, Finland, France, Germany,Netherlands Spain, Sweden, UK,
Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand,
Philippines, PRC, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Argentina, Brazil.

Can you let us know, please:

1.  How large is the client list (tens, hundreds, or thousands of
companies?)

2.  Is there some reason not to use standard business data systems
like Dun & Bradstreet international business listings.  Are you
looking for something different?

The system has to be robust enough to take millions of name and sort
them by country to see if the businesses are still active...can D&B do
this?

My experience with D&B thus far is that their coverage can be somewhat
spotty (especially outside of the US) and its not capable of taking
millions of name and comparing them against a database to see which is
an active vs. inactive business.

I was hoping to find someone who had faced this problem and knew of a
company of solution that could help.
