I am looking for a certified web based family financial advisor where I can outline different aspects of a financial situation, have it analyzed and receive advice via email. I'm not interested in financial consultants that are investment package sellers and earn their living from commissions. This involves receiving straight advice for a fee on how to accomplish some financial objectives in the most economical manner. This does not get into estate issues or anything like that, just plain vanilla family finances. In my own humble attempts to locate this kind of service I can only come up with consultants that suggest investments or manage investments for you. No luck in finding "fee for service" advice. I will be happy to respond to comments for clarification if needed. I would like several sources if possible. |

<The person who you need to consult is an certified public accountant (CPA). Accountants are able to offer unbiased financial advice without selling you any financial products. For a high standard of service it is best to use an accountant who is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. A link to their web site is given below. Michael Sklar is a Los Angeles based accountancy firms that offers advice over the internet. You email your questions and they usually respond within 24 hours. If your question is more complex they will let you know how long it will take to answer. They also have facilities for transferring financial data like spreadsheets. http://pages.prodigy.com/netcpa/ AMR offers consultations via email for a flat fee. They have a question and answers form http://www.amrtax.com/about.html Karen F. Brown & Associates offer a range of accounting services. http://www.cpa-brown.com/welcome.asp More CPAs can be found by searching the online accountant directory at http://cpawebsite.com/directory/acctdir.htm> <Additional links:> <American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)> <http://www.aicpa.org/index.htm> <CPA directory> <http://www.cpadirectory.com/> <Search strategy:> "finance consultant" ://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=%22finance+consultant%22 <accountant "over the internet"> <://www.google.com/search?q=accountant++%22over+the+internet%22&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&as_qdr=all&start=0&sa=N> <"online accountants" uk> <://www.google.com/search?q=+%22online+accountants%22+-uk&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&as_qdr=all&start=10&sa=N> <Hope this helps.> |
