From last May, the Department of Veterans Administration lists (link
below) the number of fatalities as 650,954 battle deaths, and 243,514
due to other circumstances. A breakdown for each individual war going
back to the American Revolution is given and I'm sure this is the
information you're looking for. Total military enrollment for the war
and non-fatal woundings are given too as statistics you may be
interested in.

Just to add extra information. This site by the Department of
Defense's Directorate for Information Operations and Reports provides
a breakdown of all "Principal Wars".

These just have other details which you probably will not need, but I
found it to be pretty interesting.
