It would be most convenient for you to have step-by-step directions
from a reputable on-line mapping service to make the trip you have in
mind.

Unfortunately, almost all of the sites that I have visited only map a
trip from Peekskill to the address you have given in Philadelphia by
way of the George Washington Bridge. The one exception is the AAA
site, which unfortunately specifically claims that all of its
information is proprietary (I have access to the site as a member), so
I cannot post its step-by-step directions here. I have two
suggestions.

1. If you are a member of AAA, register for online "triptik" services
at the website of that organization. In your region, that would be:
Automobile Club of New York
http://www.aaany.com/index.asp

Once you have done that, you can use their mapping tool to generate a
map for your trip that will not require crossing the G.W. Bridge.

2. If you are not a AAA member, I can create directions for you using
reliable nonproprietary mapping information that begin with the
Palisades Interstate Parkway and take you to your destination address
in Philadelphia.

Essentially, the directions I provide you would require you to get
from Peekskill to the nearby Palisades Interstate Parkway without
explicit directions.

If you would like me to generate such directions for you, please let
me know.

Hi dw1,

The MapQuest web site, http://www.mapquest.com/ , does provide
directions which allow you to travel on the Palisades Interstate
Parkway instead of the George Washington Bridge.

Since MapQuest does not allow reproduction of any of their material, I
will just provide the link to the directions:
http://www.mapquest.com/directions/main.adp?do=nw&ao=t&cl=EN&un=m&mo=ov&2n=PHILADELPHIA+COUNTY&1g=RV%252fN72UNyFI%253d&1y=US&2a=100+N+COLUMBUS+BLVD&2s=PA&2c=PHILADELPHIA&1l=mrd1fOCHieM%253d&1n=Westchester&2g=rnl6KUT16tU%253d&un=m&2y=US&2z=19106-2001&1s=NY&1c=Peekskill&2l=zAc43If0%252fQs%253d&go=1&ct=NA&x=62&y=8

If you would like to reproduce these directions on your own, follow
these steps:

1) Go to MapQuest's Driving Directions page:
http://www.mapquest.com/directions/

2) In the Start box (at the top of the page), do the following:
   a) type "Peekskill" into the City field
   b) type "NY" into the State/Province field

3) In the End box (in the middle of the page, right below the Start
box), do the following:
   a) type "100 North Columbus Blvd" into the Address/Intersection
field
   b) type "Philadelphia" into the City field
   c) type "PA" into the State/Province field

4) Click on the ADD OPTIONS... button at the bottom of the page.

5) Check the 'Toll Roads' box under the 'Avoid, if possible:' heading.

6) Click on the GET DIRECTIONS button.

I hope this helps to answer your question.

Regards,
sldreamer
