About 1984 when I was 11 the kids were into sticker books and trading
stickers. The best stickers of all were liquid stickers. They came in
many different shapes and were filled with liquid. The liquid was
greenish, but when you pushed the liquid around inside it would change
colors a little, like pink or orange around the edges, kind of what a
mood ring looks like inside.

I am wishing I could find them again and buy them, but I can't find
them. I did a search on Google for "liquid stickers" and the only
thing that came up was for a couple sites that sold liquid stickers
that had a plain primary color inside with sparkles, while it's the
same concept they are absolutely nothing like the ones from my
childhood. I hope someone can help!!!

I kept searching and searching, and while I still haven't found any
for sale myself yet, I did find pictures of them!!! the url is:
http://www.geocities.com/bakorox/davisliquidcrystals/davisliquid1.html
I would really love to find these to buy, or even just find out if
they aren't ever being made anywhere anymore. Hope the picture helps.

Are the ones shown in those photos the exact same stickers you are
asking about? It looks like those stickers are similar to liquid
crystal thermometers. Are you seeking stickers that are more
"liquidy" than that technology? The ones on that page are made by
Davis Liquid Crystals so you may want to contact them to see if they
have more information about the stickers (history, current
availability, etc.). One address listed for them is:

Davis Liquid Crystals, Inc.
14692 Wicks Blvd.
San Leandro, California 94577
Phone: 1-800-677-5575

You can also access their website at http://davisliquidcrystals.com/
- and it looks like they now may be called Liquid Crystals Resources.
LCR's 1-800 number is the same as the Davis Liquid number but the
mailing address is different:
http://davisliquidcrystals.com/contactus.cfm

They may even be able to custom make some stickers for you if are into
going through that route.

Although I couldn't find any stickers for you to buy, I did find two
brand names for the stickers ("Sandylion Magic-cals Oil Stickers" and
"Oilies") and evidence that these stickers have, in the past, been
offered on Ebay in Canada:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1924669175

http://www.chameleonusa.com/oilies.htm

If you like to play with thermochromic liquid crystals, this looks
interesting:

http://www.sciplus.com/singleItem.cfm?terms=5012&cartLogFrom=Search

I speculate that the reason why the liquid crystal stickers are no
longer manufactured may be because this kind of product has a very
limited shelf-life. The beautiful, shimmering iridescent colors
darken, and eventually the liquid becomes totally black. Exposure to
sunlight accelerates this process.

Dear leep-ga, the website doesn't offer the stickers, I did write to
the website owner of the sticker page to ask if they knew of any
resources for me to find them and their response by email was "I'm
sorry to say though that I don't know of any companies that make these
anymore."

Dear pinkfreud-ga, these oilies look exactly like the ones I was
looking for, thanks very much for finding that website. If you want to
put this as an official answer I will be quite satisified with this.
Thanks again.

Here is am Ebay Web store for the Ebay seller I linked above:

You might want to contact this store, since they've sold oil stickers
in the past. To email them through Ebay, click on the highlighted text
