Question ID: 173819
I'M WORKING IN ADOBE PHOTOSHOP. ALTHOUGH I DO HAVE ILLUSTRATOR. I
WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW IT'S POSSIBLE IN EITHER PROGRAM TO DO THE
FOLLOWING:
TO MOLD (OR "FREE-TRANSFORM") A STRAIGHT-EDGED LAYER OF AN IMAGE
(e.g., A NO.2 YELLOW PENCIL) INTO A CURVY PATH SUCH AS A PAISLEY
SHAPE. I THINK I CAN MANAGE TO CREATE THE PAISLEY-SHAPED PATH IN PS BY
DRAGGING THE "SELECTION" OF A PAISLEY INTO A NEW BLANK FILE, AND I
KNOW HOW TO CUT AND PASTE ANOTHER IMAGE INTO THAT SELECTED AREA, BUT I
DON'T KNOW HOW TO TRANSFORM THE PASTED LAYER (THE PENCIL)SO THAT IT
FOLLOWS THE CURVED LINES OF THE PAISLEY-SHAPED SELECTION WITHOUT
TOTALLY DISTORTING OR FALLING OUTSIDE THE LINES OF THE PATH.
THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP!

Which version of Photoshop are you using for this project? And on
which platform (PC or Mac)?
