Hi there,

Dragon Point & Speak was a cut-down version of Dragon
NaturallySpeaking. There is no mention of it at the web site of
Scansoft (who now own the Dragon and Philips voice recognition
products), so it is fair to presume that it was discontinued. More
details here:
http://www.synapseadaptive.com/joel/pointaandaspeak.htm

Here's a 1999 advertisement for the product:
http://www.voicerecognition.com/1999/products/dragon/

The nearest current product available from Scansoft is:

Dragon NaturallySpeaking 7
http://www.scansoft.com/naturallyspeaking/

It would be worthwhile spending some time browsing through the
features to see if it is suitable for your parent.

The most popular alternative is:

IBM ViaVoice
http://www-3.ibm.com/software/speech/windows/version10/personal/index.shtml

Other products and information of this nature can be found in the
Google Directory - be sure to browse through the sub-categories as
well:
http://directory.google.com/Top/Computers/Speech_Technology/

If you have any further questions about personal speech recognition
software, just ask for a clarification and I'll do my best to find
answers for you.

Search Strategy:

"Point & Speak"
"Dragon Systems Inc."

Best wishes,
robertskelton-ga
