I'm told it'd be good to have Rapid Application Development/ Extreme
Programming, WML, XML, and SQL server all on my resume. I don't know
much about them. Could you describe what they are and how to learn
them well enough to be able to put them on my resume?

I would be more happy to descripe each one to you, but I will give you
something more practical thing.

Go to http://www.w3schools.com/

and learn those technologies with Examples.
