Roxio 5 and XP Home - Should've Known Better!
Did the uninstall and regedit, but CD Rom still won't show anymore...

Hi, OK, I did it. The clean install of XP was so clean... then I had
to go and uninstall the Nero Burner software that came with the new
CDRW (Memorex) and install my Roxio 5. As soon as I put Roxio in, the
normal CD stopped showing up. So I uninstalled Roxio, and went into
the Bios, saw that the secondary slave was the Memorex, and the
secondary master was none. Refreshed that, saw the CD-952E/TKU show up
again, hit F10 to save the changes, and then once Windows opened, the
CD was still gone. Went back to the bios and it showed "none" again

So, do I need to do another clean install to be confident in this and
get my CD back? If I get my CD back will I still have issues going
forward? I am hoping for someone to be confident and say not to
reinstall the whole XP because I don't feel like wasting another 6
hours loading my software etc back in, but if that is what needs to be
done, OK will do it. The computer is for my good friend, and I'd like
it to run as flawlessly as possible.

Thank you in advance for your insight!
