Hi there philipa-ga,

In response to your question about surgical gloves I have found the
following information:

Moore Medical supplies have Micro-Touch powder free latex surgical
gloves for $124.99 for a box of 50 so 10,000 pairs would cost $24,998.
They are available in sizes 6-9. If you are interested you can order
them from http://www.mooremedical.com/index.cfm?PG=CTL&FN=CategoryProducts&CAT=100-6&RS=1&HM=1

More latex free powdered gloves are available at a cost of $14,859.60.
These are available at http://www.safetyplus.net/product/313/

Moore Medical supplies also have Micro-Touch powered latex surgical
gloves for $39.00 for a box of 50. So this works out to be $7800 for
10,000 pairs. These are also available at
http://www.mooremedical.com/index.cfm?PG=CTL&FN=CategoryProducts&CAT=100-6&RS=1&HM=1

Sterile surgical gloves (both powder free and textured) are available
at a cost of $3300 for 10,000 pairs. These can be ordered from
http://www.ohio-latex.com/catalogol.htm

Nitrile (latex-free) gloves are available at a cost of $11,461.50 for
10,000. These are available from
http://www.safetyplus.net/product/289/

Also if these answers aren't sufficent then the following URL has more
manufactures http://www.amyrdh.com/supplies.html

To answer this question I used a google search with the following
keywords:
Latex free surgical gloves:
Medical supply gloves:

Hope this information helps.

Have a lovely day.

You have not answered the question. I need costs TO THE HOSPITAL, not
retail or quoted prices. As the comment added later said, this is not
simple.

Good Day, philipa-ga

Another medical products site that you'll find useful is:
www.ecureme.com/eshopping/D_shop_list_main.asp

The prices of surgical gloves as clarified by the Answer are not so
different in this website.
But your question remains unanswered!

You asked how much would a hospital pay for those gloves. The laws of
supply and demand rule in the medical field as well. If a hospital
can purchase from any of hundreds of suppliers of medical products,
they should be able to get major discounts from the prices we have
seen on these product websites. Even if they didn't buy in bulk, they
might have a favored status for a medical products supplier and get
pleasing price reductions on any products.

Call various suppliers and ask them how much they charge. Do they
offer discounts to hospitals? Bulk rates? What's their lowest price?
Even if hospital personnel are less than enthusiastic about answering,
you have to try as any discount on these products could mean major
cost reductions for a bulk purchaser.

Best,
Brad-ga
