DXF file format is made by AutoDesk to save 2D and 3D projects. You
said that you have no CorelDraw installed. Could you please tell us:

1) What vector programs are installed in your computer?
2) Are you willing to purchase a specific program just to convert your
file?
3) What OS are you using?

The process is too easy if you got Corel Draw 10 on you PC.

go to File---> Inport

get the dxf file you want then

go to File---> Export

and there is one of the format is .ai

So now surprise ... you have what do you want :)

good luck
