Hello, purplerain!
I believe I have finally found enough information to provide you with
a satisfactory answer to your question. Although the search was
cumbersome and did not uncover as many resources as I would have
liked, you certainly have a good deal of information to start with!
The primary problem is the lack of websites for facilities in most of
the European countries, coupled with the language barrier. Although I
found many links to hospitals and clinics, I was often met with the
awful "the page you requested cannot be found" message! When I did
find websites that worked, they were either very limited in their
information or not available in English. While I can detect the word
"mammography" in German, French and Spanish, I was not able to discern
those services on many hospital and clinic sites that may, in fact,
have them. Therefore, I left them out of the list.
As you can see, many of the countries have only one or two sources
listed. Also, when I was able to find mammography services on a
facility site, there was usually no contact information for doctors,
administrators, etc. The best I could do was provide you with the
hospital or clinic contact.
I was very surprised that there was not a list of mammography
services on the "European Breast Cancer Coalition" website. However,
they do provide links to the group contact in each country, so I have
provided those at the bottom under "Additional Sources." I truly
believe that the Europa Donna contacts are your best bet for finding a
good list of mammography clinics in the countries of interest.

"A new study has started in the UK which will investigate whether
magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an effective way of screening
young women with a high risk of breast cancer."
"The Medical Research Council was asked to manage this area of
research on behalf of the NHS, and asked a group of Scientists and
Clinicians, led by Professor Martin Leach, Director of the Cancer
Research UK Clinical Magnetic Resonance Research Group at the
Institute of Cancer Research and The Royal Marsden Hospital, to
design a multicentre study to investigate whether MRI is a good
method for screening for breast cancer. The study has been approved by
the MRC, and is also supported for clinical aspects by the NHS. It
will involve measurements using advanced MRI techniques at some 17
major centres and in all regions of the UK. The study is being
coordinated at the Institute of Cancer Research and Royal Marsden

the Universities of Cambridge, Hull and Aberdeen."

Dr. Teichmann - project director and leading gynecologist
"In addition to the clinic of Aschaffenburg the clinic the hospital
Alzenau-Wasserlos as well as resident gynecologists participate in
the tele-mammography network. Prof. Dr. Teichmann, project director
and leading gynecologist in Aschaffenburg, is convinced that "the
number of unnecessary double examinations will be decreased. To
increase reading quality and efficiency there is a great need for an
integrated diagnostic process incorporating all participants".
"One aim with the project is to demonstrate the feasibility of CAD and
tele-mammography under routine condition, i. e., outside of
university hospitals. Images are digitized from conventional film
mammography. Later on direct digital mammography devices will replace
the conventional systems. The digital mammography network installed
will also be a fundament for cost-efficient high quality mammography
screening."
