Manufacturer's monitor driver for XP for Packard Bell A720 type 1
monitor.

Looked briefly at Packard Bell's support pages, didn't see a driver
specifically for XP for this monitor. Looking for a second opinion.
Possibly a driver for Win 2000 might work if one could be found?

Currently the monitor's working ok on a generic XP driver, but I can't
access the highest colour settings at the highest refresh rates.

Note that pbmon.exe at:

is unsuitable.

Hi gan,

I see what you mean, Windows XP drivers for Packard Bell A720 seem
hard to come by. DriverGuide.com offers the following - sounds good to
me (you'll need to register with DriverGuide.com - not to worry, it's
free):

Same here:

Additional Links:

Packard Bell monitor drivers lists:

There's an XP Pack listed here but not for the A720:

I hope this helps. If you have any questions or if this doesn't
satisfy your request, please post a clarification before rating my
answer.

Thank you - do let us know how it goes,

Spot on Hummer, thanks. To be honest I thought this was going to be
non-findable; I was expecting maybe a comment to that effect, or no
answer. The first file you listed has allowed me to boost up my
refresh rate whilst retaining good colour; having checked back at the
screen quality I've been staring at for donkey's years It's no wonder
I had a headache :)

Dear gan,

Thank you for your thank you, fine rating and tip - all are
appreciated. I especially enjoyed hearing about your good news -
thanks for starting my day with a smile. I must admit, you gave me a
bit of a start when, after I posted my answer, I noticed there was a
clarification which I hadn't seen, and further it was a driverguide
link. Phew. 8-)

Sincerely,
hummer

Hi Gan,

To supplement Hummer's excellent answer, just in case the sources did
not solve the problem, you can try checking your video card's driver
compatibility to XP. If so, you'll need to identify your video card
and download the appropriate driver for XP. You can review my previous
answer to a similar problem here:

Best regards,
Feilong
