Hello.

These individuals were removed from the U.N. terror list because the
United States asked the U.N. to remove them. The Swedish government
had requested that the U.S. government take this action. The U.S. had
previously believed that these Somali-born Swedes had were part of a
terrorist financial network, but later determined that the indivduals
had been "unwitting participants."

See:

"All six entities were removed after taking 'remedial action to
disassociate themselves from the terrorist Al-Barakaat network," said
Treasury spokesman Rob Nichols. 'They appear, after extensive review,
to have been unwitting participants in the network, and their
disassociation furthers our goal of dismantling the network.'"
