Hi, I might be able to help if you can confirm that this is the best
English spelling of the artist's name, and if you might have the name
of the insitution in Taiwan you mention.
Thanks.

The above is a website about the museum in Taiwan. Some sources call
him General Yeh Tsui-pai. But the Los Angeles Herald Examiner in its
california living section on Jan 13, 1974 called him Tsui-Pai Yeh.

Hi misterq2,
I have received a response from an authoritative source I contacted
regarding Tsui-Pai Yeh's work. Although the reply reveals the value of
another painting by this artist, I am sure this may help you evaluate
other works of Tsui-Pai Yeh.
The painting is titled 'Horses' and is larger in size. It was given to
an Ambassador in 1962.
If you feel this information would be sufficient as an answer, let me
know and I will post the reply I received for you.

To Rainbow-ga. Thanks for your interest in the General and our
Celestial Horse painting. We would accept your offer of the valuation
of the 1962 painting, provided it is reasonably close in size to what
I have and would be useful for comparison. I would not happily accept
the valuation, for example, of a wall-size mural, as being
particularly helpful!!! We rely on your good judgment. Thanks.

The ambassador's picture is 2240 square inches, as opposed to mine,
which is 1152 square inches. I'm not much of an art scholar, so I have
absolutely no idea of the relative values. However, a 70-inch
painting is one monster piece of artwork. Almost six feet! Few
suburban homes have a wall that could adequately display such a piece
of art. I would guess that it would be four times as valuable as the
painting half its size. So, while the answer isn't what I'm looking
for, I will accept it. I just don't have any other alternatives!
Thanks, MisterQ2.

To rainbow: You are a gentleman (or woman) and a scholar. We really
appreciate the information that you have unearthed. And so close to
home; we are just 145 miles from San Diego. We will go down to the
Museum and view the painting and see how it compares. Someone else
tipped us to the Museum of Art at Miami University, and that lead may
hel also. while I did not get a definitive answer, I got a lot of
information to help my search. What a wonderful bunch of peopel at
"ga". Thanks, MisterQ2
