Dear Insulaincola,

I couldn't find a comprehensive list, but there are few web sites on
famous people who admitted to have suffered of depressions, who
mention Kitty Dukakis, former First Lady of Massachusetts (for example

People who are smart and objectve = open minded certainly have an
excuse for being depressed, however depression reduces our ability to
deal effectively in areas where we could help solve the problems. You
recall the movie "Peewee's big adventure" It was an aventure only
because Peewee did not yield to the temptation of self pity and
depression. Find some slogens to help banish self pity such as "I felt
bad because I had no shoes until I met the guy who had no feet"
"Worry is good to motivate us to analyze and take action, but when we
have desided we should not take action, we should stop worrying until
it is time to re-evaluate the no action conclusion. If we are
re-evaluating daily we are probably not analyzing correctly" Neil
