How do I check the MRJ rating on Internet Explorer I have just downloaded IE 5 for Mac The web Bank site I attempt to use says my browser is not Java enabled . I went to pref to enable in Web content & scripting It says I should have MRJ 2.1 I assumed that would naturally come with the latest IE for MAC I use Power Mac 7300/180 With OS 8.5 |

Hi there miki4! The best thing to do is to get a fresh copy of Java from Apple themselves (IE 5 doesn't necessarily come with Java, due to a 1998 court ruling!). You can very easily download the latest version of MRJ (version 2.2.5) from the following site: http://developer.apple.com/java/download.html Here's a direct link: ftp://ftp.apple.com/developer/Java/MRJ_2.2.5_Install.bin It's compatible with OS 8.1 and above, so just make sure that you have 13 mb or more free disk space, and you should be up and running in no time! I hope this helps - if anything's unclear, then please feel free to request clarification before rating this question! Regards, --seizer-ga Search strategy: ie mac java mrj |
