Hi wildlife:

Thanks for the fascinating question.

I have compiled a list of resources for you for your caponizing
endeavor. While I was unable to find any resources that specifically
spoke to caponizing ducks as a method of population control, I believe
that the "act" of caponizing is the same for any fowl. I have found
websites, books and kits that will help you with this procedure.

Would this suffice as an answer to your question?

Thanks.

I have heard that someone in Japan has refined a method of Caponizing
juvenile Muscovy ducks. This apparently is a method where the
reproductive organs of the male ducks are removed. The fact that there
is possibly a separate method for these ducks makes me believe that
there may be a different procedure than that used for other fowl. Can
you help me clarify this? Thank you for your help.

Hi wildlife:

I was unable to find anything on this person from Japan. There's a
strong possibility that if there is any information out there on this,
it's in Japanese - which I cannot read.

Perhaps another researcher can help you on this.

Please let me know whether you want the chicken information, if you
don't receive the Japanese information.

Thanks.

Hello wildlife,

I have found references to a far simpler method which can be used to
control duck and geese populations, which is being used at least by
one local authority in the UK to control Muscovy ducks.
