Hello: unico67-ga:

You asked:

"Please can you tell me, in Italy, which universities/international
schools
(as in 18 years upwards) teach English Literature on the curriculum in
English

I found only a few promising leads for you.

The best candidate by far appears to be John Cabot University in Rome,
which accepts students from all over the world. Telephone:
+39-06-6819121; Web site:
http://www.johncabot.edu/ (this site takes some time to load)

John Cabot offers a Bachelor's degree program in English Literature:
http://www.johncabot.edu/academics/degreeprograms/bachelorarts/bachelorarts.htm
The American school Gonzaga University has a Florence campus and it is
open to "students from other universities," but there's no real detail
about admission requirements, so you must contact the school to see if
you qualify. The Florence campus does offer courses in English
Literature:
https://www.gonzaga.edu/Academics/Undergraduate/Study+Abroad/Programs/Florence/Academic+Program.htm

Umbra Institute in Perugia, Italy. A "Private, independent liberal
arts school for study abroad. American system. Student Body: U.S. and
European . . . . More than 100 nations represented at the Universitá
per Stranieri di Perugia" The school has a "Special Program" in
English Literature. See:
http://www.studyabroad-perugia.com/ginfo/ginfo_frameset.htm

Saint Mary's College (Notre Dame, Indiana) Rome Program, which offers
a course in "English and American literature relating to Rome and
Italy." There's no Web site listed for the college, but you can
e-mail: p.prebys@smcrome.it or telephone: 06.6880.4752, for more
information.

NOTE: It isn't clear if Saint Mary's accepts non-American students, so
you must contact them to find out.

Here's an interesting article about the diminishing number of
American/ English-language and culture studies programs in Italy:
http://www.aisna.org/Plight.htm

Search strings: "Italy universities 'English Literature' English
curriculum"
                        "study English Literature Italy"
                        "study English Literature 'Italian
University'"
                        "English Literature programs 'Italian
University'"

I will try to find some more schools for you and post them. Finding
appropriate programs was tougher than I thought it would be!

Hello unico67-ga:

I found two more schools using the search term: "English Literature"
AND "Italy universities"

Academic Programs International (API) has campuses in several Italian
cities, including their Syracuse campus, which features courses in
Liberal Arts, including Literature.

Here's a description: "Students with Academic Programs International
(API) will attend classes at the Mediterranean Centre for Arts and
Sciences where they can study art, architecture, politics, literature,
language, and archaeology. All coursework is conducted with a focus on
the Mediterranean culture and history of the area. Language courses
are taught in Italian at all levels (beginning through advanced); all
other courses are taught in English by international and Italian
professors, trained to teach foreign students":
http://www.studyabroaddirectory.com/listingsp3.cfm?Listing=8315&fkcountry=43

To get a detailed course catalog from API, you must fill out a form
at:
http://www.academicintl.com/form.html
(API has several campuses in Italy, but the Syracuse one seems to be
the only one with courses taught in English and that don't focus
exclusively on Italian culture.)

Accademia Italiana offers some programs in English Literature -- I
think!! My software isn't compatible with the site and I couldn't read
the course list, but you may have more luck with your computer:
http://www.accademiaitaliana.com

As I noted before, John Cabot University seems to be the best bet. It
came up again during this search.

I also apologize for some formatting problems with my answer.

I will search for some more schools that match your criteria, but as
we say in the U.S., "It's slim pickins'."
