I have always backed up my Outlook 2000 info by copying the outlook.pst file from my PC to my notebook. A couple of days ago, while doing this, I got this error message: "cannot copy outlook: Data error (cyclical redundancy check)". Since then, the outlook.pst file on my notebook is missing and I cannot copy the outlook.pst file on my PC (including to a backup folder on the PC). How can I correct this problem and copy the outlook.pst file? | |

It sounds like the data file itself (the PST) is crupt. But all is not lost - there is a program on your machine than can recover the data - SCANPST.EXE More info on this tool can be found at: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;272227 |

Thanks but I did as you suggested and the result was: "No errors were found in this file" (outlook.pst). What now?? |
