I am a Golf Course Architect looking for more marketing leads such as
request for proposals from municipalities and private companies
looking to build new courses or remodel existing courses. I already
receive publications such as golf news and golf register. What other
marketing tools, publications are available that I may not have looked
at. I also subscribe to dodge construction reports.

Hello rocky2-ga:

I have compiled a list of some useful resources that may help you with
your marketing campaign. As a golf course architect, you are better
able to understand the marketing strategy for any golf architect but
allow me to suggest some of the strategies of my own with useful links
for those strategies. I will also like to introduce you to two other
very websites that can help you further.

Although, there can be limitless possibilities for marketing but I
have isolated three very useful strategies. First, there are public
relations firm that will market you as a golf architect to the public
communities. Following is the list of such two companies and a trade
journal that can help you.

Public Relations and Marketing for Golf Course Builders

Golf Course Registrar
“Lead Management System”

Golf Course Home
“Advertising Kit for Golf course architect, builders, brokers and
communities”.
http://www.golfcoursehome.net/doc/advertise.htm

Secondly, I think that it seems useful to get memberships in the top
Golf Associations, especially those that cater to GOLF ARCHITECTS.
Most of these associations advertise their members to the golf
communities.

American Association of Golf Course Architects

American Association of Landscape Architects

Finally, I think one of the best bet to attract attention is to
advertise in local and major golf magazines. I know it is expensive
but it definitely works. Another alternative is to advertise on the
online versions of the same magazines that might be less costly.
