Researchers, Its an honor to be using your services. I am currently looking for information regarding "Roadless Area Conservation Rule". I am looking for actual Legislation / Policy Information, an actual copy of it, not secondary information. I have included some helpful links at the bottom that have great search terms, and probably contain what Im looking for, but Im unable to find the information. I already have articles from many major newspapers reporting on the policy, but need the actual policy. Thanks for your help! Hello. The actual Roadless Area Conservation Rule is on the roadless.fs.fed.us site that you mentioned: http://roadless.fs.fed.us/documents/rule/roadless_fedreg_rule.pdf (PDF format, so the Adobe Acrobat Reader is required. If you don't have that, visit Adobe's web site: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html ) Following a lengthy preamble, the actual policy begins on page 3272 of the document. It starts with the heading "PART 294-SPECIAL AREAS." There's also an HTML version roadless.fs.fed.us site: http://roadless.fs.fed.us/documents/rule/rule_fedreg.html search strategy: Roadless Area Conservation Rule published January 12, 2001 I hope this helps. If anything is unclear, please use the "request clarification" feature. Thanks. |
