Hello.

A person who makes maps is generally called either a cartographer or a
map maker. The term "cartographer" is much more likely to be used as
a title as it is derived from classical roots (Greek chartê "leaf of
paper" + Greek graphos "writer") and thus sounds more professional to
the ears of those educated in English.
