Tim Halpain Enterprises is a business in Marble Falls, TX. Their phone number is 830-693-4548. I called and left a message, and they called back and left me a message, identifying their business as a "tool distributor" out of Austin. (This phrase is usually used to mean hardware store type tools, but is sometimes used to mean software tools as well -- I'm guessing Mr. Halpain meant the former, but I'm not 100% sure). I hope this information clears things up, but if not, just give Halpain Enterprises a call directly. If there's anything else I can do to help out here, just let me know through a Request for Clarification. Thanks for using Google Answers. search strategy: Searched the Texas Office of the Comptroller site at: http://ecpa.cpa.state.tx.us/coa/coaStart.html for: halpain |

Have you called the bank to request supporting documentation? They should be able to help you. For what it's worth, Marble Falls is a little town 45 miles northwest of Austin. It's home to Packsaddle Mountain, one of the state's best hang gliding and paragliding sites. You haven't been flying lately have you? |

Couple of ideas to jog your memory or think of who had access to your card: 1 - Online charges or 1-900 calls, maybe eBay seller 2 - Gas station, Halpain Ent could be Enterprises, the name of the guy who owned a gas station that you or someone else stopped at. 3 - Adult club - could be a cover for a guys bar that they purposely disquise the name and location The mispelling of the name of the city makes me suspicious. If it was some kind of fraud, I'd think they'd get the name right. My guess is that it is someone who just is hiding the name of what you/they charged. Do you know where you/the card were on the date in question? Good luck, and ericynot-ga had good advice, talk to the bank. |
