Hi all,

The question I have for you today is, does Google keep its search
listings archived? I really need copies of the following sites for
the month of November 2000:

www.mortgageleadsgeneration.com
www.mortgageleads.net
www.loanofficerscompete.com
www.home-loans-n-mortgage.com

Many thanks for your help.

Sandie

Google does keep cached versions of sites, but they tend to be fairly
recent vintage -- certainly not back to 2000. There are other places
on the web that archive old sites, however. If these are of interest,
I can provide links to your sites for the following dates:

www.mortgageleadsgeneration.com October 2000

www.mortgageleads.net November 17, 2000

www.loanofficerscompete.com December 3, 2001 (earliest
available)

www.home-loans-n-mortgage.com April 4, 2001 (earliest available)

Note, however, that archived sites are not always "deep" -- that is,
they usually include the main web page, and the pages one or two
layers deep, but they don't always have every page that was part of
the original site.

Let me know if this information is of interest.

Hello Sandie.

Thanks for your question. The comment offered by jaz-ga is a useful
one to remember -- the Wayback machine is *the* archive of the
internet, and it was where I immediately turned to in order to search
for your sites.

For each of your sites, I've listed some of the information from the
archives at www.archive.org. The last link given for each site is the
one that corresponds to the dates I listed earlier:

If you need any additional information or explanation, just post a
Request for Clarification. I'm always happy to help out.

You probably would benefit from knowing about the Wayback machine, if
you don't already. Located at www.archive.org, it is essentially an
historical search engine. Chances are you'll be able to track down at
least a few versions of past sites....good luck!!
