Hello Sir.

As far as I understand things (I'm afraid the Brits speak a language
with which I'm not terribly familiar), pub licensing is a local
affair. If you can tell us what city/county/shire you are interested
in, perhaps one of the researchers here can locate publicly available
licensing records.

Hello Bob

Thanks for getting back to us.
Sorry - but I don't think there is a website with the information
you're looking for.

You can buy information from a "pubs and licensees" database here:
http://www.william-reed.co.uk/downloads/tks/Pubs%20and%20Licensees.pdf

Or - in England and Wales, licensing matters are dealt with by local
magistrates' courts. Each court keeps a Licensing Register. To look at
the register you have to be considered "eligible" to inspect the
register according to the rules set down by the Licensing Act 1964
(section 34). I'm afraid I haven't been able to find out exactly who
is allowed to inspect the register, but I imagine the Clerk at any
magistrates' court could advise you.
