Hi, psto-ga:

I have identified a number of resources on the Web for finding
developers experienced with ActivePDF Tookit and VB/VBScript. Would
you mind confirming that this is the information you are looking for?
Or perhaps you would like to outline what approaches you have already
considered, so that I do not duplicate your previous efforts?

Hi Mathtalk-ga,

I am not certain what you mean when you say you "have identified a
number of resources on the web for finding developers experienced with
ActivePDF Toolkit and VB/VBScript." Does this mean you have identified
consultants who are capable and proficient in helping me work with
ActivePDF's Toolkit in VB? Or that you have found resources where I
must wade through to find the consultants myself?

I have already used google to search web pages for anyone identified
as "ActivePDF consultants" and found no listings. I have looked under
the same query in Google's Group listings and found 114 listings for
people with questions about ActivePDF products and some suggested
anwers from people. But I have not found anyone who bills themselves
as a consultant proficient in both ActivePDF Toolkit and VB/VBScript.

I am specifically interested in a list of consultants with the
qualifications listed above, who I can then call to determine their
expertise and possibly employ.

If this doesn't directly answer your question, please let me know. I'd
be happy to add additional clarification.

Hi, psto-ga:

I found more than half a dozen resumes of developers who have used
activePDF in projects, apparently from ASP/VBScript, in the past 2-3
years. Someone would have to "wade through" this material, as you
yourself suggest toward the end of the clarification, contacting
people "to determine their expertise and possibly employ."

Under the guidelines a Google Answers researcher is not in a position
to recommend the proficiency of any individual or business.

In addition to looking for resumes I explored some alternative
approaches to finding available resources with the skills you
identified.

As I already drafted an answer to your question, pending your
clarification, and since you seem to have been very active in doing
the search yourself, I'll post my suggestions as a Comment, gratis,
when I return to the computer where I saved my draft.

In the meantime other researchers are able and certainly welcome to
answer your request.

To continue:

The activePDF Toolkit implements a COM-based interface and targets
server-based creation and manipulation of PDF forms and documents.
The COM interfaces make it natural to develop applications with the
Toolkit using ASP (server-side VBScript).

If I were searching for consultants who have such experience, I'd look
at the manufacturer's resources. They have some newsgroups, which
might be read by potential developers, and "partner programs" which
might target developers focused on the activePDF products.

[activePDF Forum]
http://www.activepdf.com/en/Support/Forum.asp

This gives directions to an NNTP (newsgroup) server that includes one
general and two other newsgroups focused on the Toolkit product, e.g.

public.activepdf.products.toolkit.general

I'd suggest posting a thread there asking for consultants with
Toolkit/VB experience to contact you.

[activePDF Partner Programs - System Integrators]
http://www.activepdf.com/en/Corporate/PartnerPrograms/ASI.asp

I also did a search for resumes on the Web for developers with skills
you identified. This Google search:

Keywords: activePDF ASP resume
://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=activePDF+ASP+resume&btnG=Google+Search

returned nine resumes out of 40 "hits". I'd give extra points for the
resume that was actually presented as a PDF document!
