hi birkett7,
Thank you for your question.

This is probably the most informative site about the Indiana Jones
pinball machines:
http://www.geocities.com/~micsaund/IJ_web/ij_index.html
It is run by Mike Sauders,
mailto:micsaund@attbi.com

"Indiana Jones -- The Pinball Adventure was released by Williams
Electronics in July, 1993. The following people are credited with
creating this game:
*	Mark Ritchie (Design)
*	Brian Eddy (Software)
*	Chris Granner and Rich Karstens (Sounds)
*	Doug Watson (Artwork)
*	Jack Skalon (Mechanical Design)
*	Scott Matrix and Eugene Geer (Dot matrix animations)

Indy Firsts
Indy was the next machine released from the Williams/Bally pinball
skunkworks after Twilight Zone. IJ was the first pin to feature a new
sound system known as DCS (Digital Compression System). The DCS was
originally planned to debut on Twilight Zone, but the system was still
under development when TZ went to production. The DCS is responsible
for IJ's incredible sounds due to the amount of storage space
available using the new system. Indy was also the first machine to use
Williams' new opto-based ball trough. While this design was a great
idea, this early revision ball trough is one of the better-known
faults with Indy. Williams has since evolved the ball trough and the
same basic design is still used today. See the Tech Tips section for
more info on this. Finally, IJ was the first machine to use a player
controlled tilting mini playfield. As far as I know, it is still the
only game to use such a device. The Path of Adventure mini playfield
is another source of frustration for IJ owners and operators. The Tech
Tips section contains more info on fixing the PoA."

Additional Indiana Jones -- The Pinball Adventure Information:
*	Total modes: 12 (4 from each Indiana Jones movie)
*	Video modes: 3 (1 from each movie)
*	Number of balls: 7 steel (6 active, 1 captive)
*	Maximum balls in play: 6
*	Machine weight: 300 pounds (136 kg)
*	Height: 76" (194 cm)
*	Height folded: 56" (142 cm)
*	Width: 29" (74 cm)
*	Depth: 55" (140 cm)

Very nice machine. Has the 'lost world' plastic. Machine was fully
shopped in 2002. Includes manuals and keys. Has gold legs. No wear
whats so ever on the playfield. The cabinet is one of the nicest I've
seen on an Indy. Just some very slight fade on one side. Great wide
body machine. E-mail for pictures and more info.

Indiana Jones, 1993 Williams: 2,750
Game is in teriffic shape. Cabinet is a ~9 (only due to slight fading)
playfield is a 9, looks amazing but has had a tiny spot or two touched
up. Translite looks very nice also. Path of adventure is working 100%.
Lost plastic was installed when machine was purchased, gold legs
included. No problems with ball trough. No problems at all since I
have had it. I was looking for an Indy for a long time before I found
this one, but now I need to make room to work on other things.
Pictures available upon request. Shipping available if arranged by
buyer.

Indiana Jones, 1993 Williams: 2400.00 or Trade towards an Attack From
Mars
The machine is 100% working. The machine has just been shopped to
include a full playfield stip to include new rubber and bulbs. The GI
connectors/headers have been replaced. The POA motor has been
replaced. The drop target decals have been replaced. The cabinet has
slight fade I think - both sides are the same in color just not as
bright as some I've seen. The interior of the machine has been
cleaned. A couple of plastics have cracks - can't notice unless you
tear the machine down for shopping. Translite has a scratch. New arch
decals have been installed. Gun is in great shape. I would like to
trade for an Attack From Mars. The scoop hole isn't a big concern. The
cabinet must be in great shape. Shipping is the responsibility of the
buyer.

Thank you so much for the info: one last question and we can close
this out. Do they sell brand new IJ pinball machines anywhere? Thank
you.

Clarification of Answer by jackburton-ga on 01 Apr 2003 01:37 PST
No, IJ was manufactured in 1993 and there are very likely no brand-new
machines anywhere in the world. If you can find one that's somehow
been forgotten in a warehouse somewhere, you are indeed lucky!

regards,
jackburton-ga
