I used to have a recipe for a frozen lemon pie. It was in a desert
recipe magazine and I've lost it. Here's what I remember about the
recipe:

The crust was made of meringue
The filling was like a lemony whipped cream

Do you require that a Researcher find the exact recipe that you lost?
If so, we'll need to know the name of the magazine.

I have a tasty recipe for a frozen lemon pie that is made with frozen
canned lemonade, Cool Whip, and Eagle Brand condensed milk. Do those
ingredients sound familiar?

I don't remember the name of the magazine but it was one of those
little recipe magazines that you get at the grocery store and it was
all deserts. I remember that the filling was made with cream and
lemon juice (I'm sure there was sugar in there, too.) It was a very
simple recipe and it didn't have any "convenience" ingredients like
frozen lemonade (I prefer all my ingredients to be "real".) If you
could find something very close (with the meringue crust, that was the
best part) I could live with that.

Is this anything like your recipe?

That's close enough (I don't remember it having condensed milk in it
but that's close enough for me)

Would you like me to see if I can find more frozen lemon pie recipes
for you, and post the results as an answer?

Hi, techgoddess.

I am reposting the link to "Aunt Barb's Lemon Pie with Meringue
Crust":

Cooks.com Recipe Search Engine

And here are several additional recipes for frozen lemon pie. While
these do not have a meringue crust, I would expect that you could use
one of these fillings with the "Aunt Barb's" meringue crust, and
thereby invent your own custom pie.

Here's another meringue pie crust recipe. This one does not say
anything about freezing, but my experience with meringue is that it
usually freezes quite well, as long as you allow it to cool completely
before putting it into the freezer.

I hope you're able to re-create your pie. If, in the future, you
should happen to get a brainflash and recall the name and approximate
date of the magazine in which you found the original recipe, please
let me know. My mother has a garage full of food-related magazines and
booklets, and I might be able to dig up your exact pie recipe. If you
post a "Request for Clarification of Answer" to this question, Google
Answers will email me so that I'll know more information has come in.

Thanks for the dessert suggestion. My husband is going to be very
happy!

Best wishes,

Didn't find exactly what I was looking for but close enough. I'm satisfied.
