Where does your girlfriend live (i.e., which country and/or state or
province)? Thanks! (Keep in mind, of course, that the less expensive
the policy is, the less likely it is to cover things that most
policies don't.)

We live in Charlotte, NC. She gets the birth control shot every three
months so hopefully the plan would cover that. Thanks.

Hi Kett,

Unfortunately, because health insurance plans for individuals (i.e.,
not negotiated via an employer plan) can vary widely in cost and
coverage depending on the individual being covered, it will be very
difficult for a GA researcher to fully answer your question. However,
I found an online "insurance quote" service that may help you:

Health Insurance.org: North Carolina quotes
http://www.health--insurance.org/north-carolina-health-insurance.html
The site offers four different insurance quote services: Netquote, 1st
Insurance, InsureCom.com, and 4Insurance.com.

I think you'll find the information you need from one or more of these
services. If you think this answers your question, please let me
know.

I found this website by doing a Google search for "North Carolina
health insurance plans"

You may want to try your local Planned Parenthood. They have pretty
reasonable rates for birth control pills, about half the price that
the least expensive pharmacy charges. When I did the research here in
Arizona, that was $18 versus $32 at Costco.

Check out http://www.plannedparenthood.com

Good luck!

Hello everyone,

Just to let you know there is an awesome company called BCRx Inc.,
they even have a website, www.BCRxInc.com, this company insures all
women (insured or uninsured) with birth control coverage. You can even
call them 1-800-311-2279. Their program saves women up to 40% on birth
control, where women no longer have to pay full price, and it covers
everyone in the family. There are no monthly fees or start up charges
or anything like that. All you have to pay for is your birth control,
like you still do, except through them its cheaper.

Good luck!
