Question ID: 177619
Is there a way to find pages on the web that are calling a particular
javascript src file?

I'm looking for sites that are using a tracking tool that works by
putting a javascript code snippet on a page. I have tried Google but
don't see where it lets you search for text that is not visible on the
page.

I also tried, flipper.com ("deep web" search)
and have sent an inquiry to Quigo.

I have downloaded lexibot, but am feeling doubtful about it.

I'm willing for an answer that will allow me to see, for example, all
sites that link to a javascript source file like "ript
language="javascript" src="http://roi.gotoast.com/roi/track.asp"

I have tried the following types of searches with google, like:
link: roi.gotoast.com/roi/track.asp
ript filetype:js
but couldn't find anything.
by the way, have you tried lexibot yet?

No, I have not tried Lexibot yet.

I don't think the search you are trying is going to work because I
think link: is only for hrefs.

Also, I think filetype is about what sort of file the document that
was indexed is. In this case, the filetype will be a webpage or
template, i.e. html, .htm, .asp, .cfm etc.

. . . I am not sure about this, that's just my understanding of how
the operators work . . . .

Google advanced search will can do this for all pages indexed by
google. Plugging in the URL you provides however produces no hits.

I don't think it will. I've done searches too and have not found
pages that I know are indexed and that I know have the src link I
searched on. . .
