Question ID: 177650
Q: Where can I buy a Korean version of "The Zen Teachings of
Huang-po"?

(or at the least find a copy online)

I have been searching the web non-stop, but I have not been able to
find anything relating to this in Korean. I read Chinese and Japanese
so I have been able to find out a little information. However, my
nearly complete lack of Korean is an obstacle.

Misc Info:
Huang-Po is known in Chinese and Japanese as:
黄蘗希運
In Japanese Romanization: Obaku Kiun
In Korean I believe he is known as: 황벽희운

I believe that the Chinese title goes by the following name:
黃檗希運禪師語錄

I know this question is a bit obsure, but any help is appericated.

Elijahz,
The Korean text does not appear correctly on the page; could you spell
out how it sounds in English?

Thanks,

If you go to the following link (the eletronic buddhist dictionary):

http://www.acmuller.net/cgi-bin/xpr-ddb.pl?9e.xml+id('b9ec3-6a97-5e0c-904b-79aa-5e2b-8a9e-9304')

It will have a the title written in a number of languages and
romanization schemes, including korean.

From my research, it seems like the book's actual title is:
http://whsc.hypermart.net/vues/zen.htm
I uploaded the text onto that link because it does not show up
correctly on this page...the korean and chinese translation of the
book title is on that page.
The reason I think this is the book you refer to is that all searches
in Korean search engines regarding Huang Po and his zen teachings
refer to this book that he has written...a sample translation would be
"Huang-po's books of zen teachings are <book title1> and <book
title2>"

if you would like to find the korean translation of either, please let
me know.
