“Tongan Billy Hu'akau and his American wife, Sandy, operate this basic
but friendly and clean little resort on a nearly deserted beach on
Lifuka's ocean side. You won't be able to swim here, however, for the
waves crash on a shallow coral shelf. Wooden walkways run through a
thick tropical forest to their bungalows, which are made of timber
over concrete floors. Each has two single beds that can be pushed
together. Guests share communal toilets and showers (don't expect hot
water). Inexpensive meals are served under a tent next to a central
building.”
